Communication Intervention for Children
Doyle Speech Works is a pediatric speech-language therapy practice offering assessment, diagnostic, treatment, and consultation services to families in Central New Hampshire
Our Approach
Child-Led
Children learn best when they are invested in activities that align with their interests. We develop goal-oriented therapy plans using evidence-based practices that are tailored to each child’s unique personality.
Family-Centered
Progress occurs quickest when children have consistent support from their families. We work closely with parents/guardians so they can understand and support the interventions used, while remaining flexible and accommodating to family lifestyle.
Community-Focused
The impact of successful speech-language therapy extends far beyond the clinic: it enables children to effectively communicate and engage with their families, peers, and community. Our goals for our clients are informed by these life-long benefits.

Testimonials
“Anne was the perfect speech therapist for our daughter. It has been such a relief to know she was with someone who really understood her speech needs. The weight that was lifted off of my shoulders when I learned Anne knew about Gestalt Language Processors was huge, and we’ve seen amazing progress in our daughter’s speech this year.”
-Autumn G.
“My son was 4.5 years old when Anne started working with him. He had a large vocabulary, lots to say, and a frustration that others could not understand him. By the time he was 5 he was understood by all to whom he spoke. It was shocking how quickly he was able to relearn how to say his sounds, and it is a testament to Anne’s instruction, dedication, and knowledge.”
-Sarah C.
“My son has been working with Anne since Fall 2020 and he has made such huge strides! She is able to assess each child’s strengths and gets to know their individual personality and use that to support their therapy sessions. Early intervention is key and without Anne my son would not be where he is today. She has instilled a level of confidence and pride that he takes with him into other learning experiences.”
-Katie C.
“If only we had begun working with Anne sooner, we could have spared ourselves much frustration and money! What especially impressed me with Anne is that she works with the whole child. She was always kind, caring, and approachable, while also sending clear messages about the value of hard work and giving our son the inspiration he needed to stick with it and not give up.”

Frequently Asked Questions
What is speech?
Speech is how we say sounds and words. Speech includes:
- Articulation – How we make speech sounds using the mouth, lips, and tongue
- Voice – How we use our vocal folds and breath to make sounds
- Fluency – The rhythm of our speech
What is language?
Language refers to the words we use and how we use them to share ideas, relate socially, and advocate for ourselves and our needs. Language includes:
- What words mean
- How to make new words
- How to put words together to express thoughts and ideas
- What we might say in different social situations
What is the difference between a speech disorder and a language disorder?
When we have trouble saying sounds, stutter when we speak, or have voice problems, we have a speech disorder.
When we have trouble understanding what others say and/or have problems sharing our thoughts, ideas, and feelings, we have a language disorder.
Note that it is possible to have either or both speech and language disorders.
What should my child be able to say at each stage of development?
